Ocean Eyes Optometrists is a well-established, independent practice in Ocean Grove, known for professional, patient-focused eyecare — with no KPIs, no hard sell, and no Sunday work.

We are seeking a part-time Optical Dispenser / Receptionist to join our friendly, close-knit team.

The Role

A varied front-of-house role combining reception and dispensing support in a calm, supportive environment.

Hours:

Thursday & Friday: 9:00am – 5:30pmSaturday: 9:00am – 1:00pm Monday: 9:00am-1pm (every second week)Additional weekday hours to cover leave are a plus

Duties include:

Greeting patients and managing receptionAnswering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondenceSupporting frame and lens selection, fittings, delivery, and minor repairsProcessing orders and maintaining accurate patient records

(No lens cutting or edging required)

About You

Customer-focused with front-of-house or retail experienceOptical experience preferred but not essentialConfident communicator with strong attention to detailComfortable using computer systems (Optomate Touch an advantage)Professional, reliable, and keen to learn
