An exciting opportunity is available for a Store Manager to lead our Salvos Stores Katherine team. This role is ideal for a hands-on retail leader who enjoys building strong teams, connecting with the local community, and running a well-organised store with purpose.
Reporting to the Area Manager, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Katherine, NT, offering stability, meaningful work, and a healthy work-life balance.
About The Role
As Store Manager, you will:
Lead the day-to-day operations of the store, achieving sales and surplus targetsManage stock flow, pricing and visual merchandising in line with Salvos Stores’ standardsCoach, support and develop a diverse team of employees and volunteersManage rosters, budgets and wage costs to keep the store running smoothlyBuild strong connections with the Katherine community, local organisations and supporters
This is a practical leadership role where you’ll be supported by a wider network while having the autonomy to run your store effectively.
About You
You will bring:
Proven retail management experience (essential)Strong customer service, communication and people leadership skillsThe ability to motivate and engage a team in a fast-paced environmentExperience managing budgets, rosters and operational prioritiesExperience with Workday HCM (highly regarded)Alignment with The Salvation Army’s values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration and diversity
