The Role
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our high performing Corporate Services team. This role supports finance operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, and administration — all contributing to GCPHN’s mission and strategic goals. This is a fixed-term contract to 30 June 2027 (with likely extension) with a preferred start date of 23 March.

About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer supports day-to-day financial operations and contributes to effective financial governance, compliance, and organisational performance. Responsibilities include:
Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- General Accounts
- Monitor the Accounts inbox
- BAS preparation and lodgement
- Maintain the asset register
- Perform bank, general ledger, vendor and customer reconciliations
- Prepare audit documentation and general journal
Payroll Support
- Assist the Payroll/Finance Officer as required
Procurement Support
- Provide support to the Procurement team for up to one day a week
Administration & Compliance
- Support office administration tasks
- Ensure adherence to ISMS and ISO/IEC 27001 information security requirements
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement activities
Selection Criteria - Essential:
- 5+ years in an Accounts role
- Strong data entry skills and experience in using accounting software.
- Intermediate MS Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Professional communication skills.
- Administration skills including attention to detail, the ability to use initiative to solve problems and the ability to multitask.
- Personal effectiveness including excellent time management skills.
- Being flexible and adaptable to achieve results in a changing environment.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
Selection Criteria - Desirable:
- Previous payroll experience (particularly with Employment Hero) or an interest in learning payroll
- Experience with D365 Business Central accounting software
