Morven State School is seeking a reliable and hardworking cleaner to join our small, supportive school community.

This role is essential in maintaining clean, safe and welcoming learning spaces for students, staff and visitors.

The successful applicant will be dependable, able to work independently, and take pride in their work, while enjoying being part of a friendly, close-knit rural school with supportive leadership and staff.

This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.49FTE), 37.5 hours per fortnight.

About The School

Morven State School, established in 1887, is located in the Darling Downs South West region and is a part of the Charleville State Schools cluster. It is situated 90 km east of Charleville and 180 km west of Roma on the Warrego Highway. Morven has a population of approximately 150 residents and is surrounded by a rural community consisting of sheep, goat and cattle properties. The main industry is primary production while the businesses include a post office, grocery store, newsagent, roadhouse, hotel and motel. The town has regular rail services, a twice daily bus service going both east and west and agents for several transport companies. Our town is well serviced with a two person police station, health clinic, library and public hall.

Your Responsibilities

As the Cleaner, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, toilets and shared school facilitiesEnsure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety are maintainedSafely use and store cleaning equipment and productsWork independently while contributing positively to the school teamSupport a welcoming and well-presented school environment
