About this opportunity:

We are looking for customer-focused and energetic Food & Beverage Attendants to support the diverse events delivered by the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide high-quality food and beverage service across functions, conferences, theatre events, and banquets.
  • Assist with bar service, table service, and event setup/pack-down.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across all service areas.
  • Work collaboratively within a professional and supportive team.
  • Opportunities to learn from highly skilled events and technical professionals

Please note: This is a casual position. Hours are not guaranteed, and shifts are offered on an as-needed basis in line with MECC’s events schedule.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience (preferred).
  • Current Queensland RSA certificate.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying event schedules.
  • Availability to work shifts for days, nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
