The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for two diligent and
enthusiastic Engineering Technical Officers to join the
City’s Strategic Asset Management team:

  • 1 x permanent (ongoing), full-time position
  • 1 x 12-month (temporary), full-time position

As an Engineering Technical Officer – Asset Data, you will
be responsible for implementing asset management best practices
through efficient and accurate management of asset data.
Additionally, you will play an important role in contributing to
the overall effective operation of the Strategic Asset Management
team by undertaking quality and integrity improvements to asset and
spatial data, assisting in the development of data models to
optimise reporting and analytics, working with asset custodians
from across the organisation, and conducting site visits,
investigations and field inspections to maintain the quality of
asset data in liaison with internal and external teams.

To be successful in this role, you will
need:

  • An advanced diploma in a relevant discipline, or
    significant experience in Strategic Asset Management
  • Current unrestricted C class national driver’s
    licence
  • Experience in completing asset data management, asset data
    audits and entering as-constructed plans into an asset
    management system
  • Experience in the design, construction, maintenance and
    inspection of infrastructure assets
  • Experience in the use of database systems and advanced
    asset management software
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (desirable)
  • Qualifications or significant experience working in spatial
    science or GIS environments (desirable)

    potential for movement within the range based on demonstrated
    skills and experience. Incremental progression typically occurs
    at the conclusion of each 12-month period, in accordance with
    the Industrial Agreement.
