The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join a well established, Gold Coast based client side project management consultancy delivering a diverse range of built form projects.
The consultancy works across projects ranging from $250k fit outs through to $170m developments, with most work under $20m. Core sectors include residential, mixed use, medical, aged care, childcare, retail, subdivisions, and master planned developments, with additional exposure to education and industrial projects.
This role has been created following a strong start to the year and successful tender wins, with a clear preference to develop and train ambitious Assistant Project Managers as part of the long term growth of the business.
The Role
This is a genuine development role suited to someone early in their career who wants to learn client side project management properly, with exposure across the full project lifecycle.
You will support Senior Project Managers and the Director across multiple live projects, gaining hands on experience across pre construction, construction, and closeout stages. The role offers structured support, real responsibility, and strong learning opportunities within a practical, outcomes focused environment.

Responsibilities
- Support Senior Project Managers across live client side projects
- Assist with consultant coordination, meeting preparation, and follow ups
- Track actions, risks, and project documentation across multiple projects
- Assist with design coordination, approvals, and authority processes
- Support tendering and procurement activities
- Assist with programme tracking, reporting, and cost control inputs
- Attend site meetings and inspections as required
- Support construction phase activities, defects, and closeout
- Build strong working relationships with consultants, builders, and team members
You
- One to three years experience in construction, project management, or a related field
- Exposure to client side, contractor, consultancy, or design environments
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Clear, proactive communicator who follows things through
- Willingness to learn and take feedback on board
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities at once
- Calm, practical problem solver
- Australian construction or property experience preferred
