OHS Coordinator – Construction (QLD)

Full-Time | Site-Based | Immediate Start

We are seeking an experienced OHS Coordinator to join our team on a full-time, site-based role in Queensland. This position is ideal for a safety professional with strong construction industry experience who thrives on being hands-on and visible onsite.

About the Role

Reporting to senior management, you will play a critical role in ensuring all works are carried out safely, compliantly, and in line with WHS legislation and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, monitor, and enforce WHS systems onsite

  • Conduct site inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and safety meetings

  • Ensure compliance with QLD WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and project requirements

  • Assist with development and review of SWMS, risk assessments, and safety documentation

  • Incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action implementation

  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and clients on safety matters

  • Support site teams in fostering a strong, proactive safety culture

About You

  • Proven experience in construction safety (essential)

  • Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)

  • Strong understanding of QLD WHS legislation

  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage site teams

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced site environment
