Hidden behind the infamous sliding barn door in Mermaid Beach lies one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic dining destinations, we are a modern Japanese restaurant known for its moody, intimate atmosphere, exceptional share style dishes, creative cocktails, and high-energy service.

YOUR ROLE
The key responsibility of this role is managing the day-to-day operations of the the sections and the kitchen, with a focus on developing the team, staff training, achieving targeted food and wage costs while maintaining a high standard of food quality, hygiene & presentation. To be successful in your application, you will have:

Proven experience running a section as a Senior Chef ideally (Asian cuisine or hatted expertise will be a plus)

Strong abilities in training, mentoring and developing young chefs

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Passion for creating quality and consistency in every plate put out

Overall knowledge of all operations, ordering, stock control and working to budgets
