Progress FNQ is a dedicated, locally owned direct support provider that has been proudly operating for 6 years. We support people living with permanent and significant disabilities who are participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Our reputation is built on strong collaboration with allied health professionals and stakeholders, particularly in supporting individuals with complex health challenges.

The Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping clients work towards their life goals. No two days are the same, as support is tailored to each individual’s needs, whether at home, in the community, or in supported independent living environments.

We offer a variety of shift types, including:

  • Home and community shifts

  • Supported independent living (8-hour shifts)

  • Active and inactive overnight shifts

What We Are Looking For

We are actively recruiting experienced Support Workers who:

  • Have a positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting others

  • Are eager to learn and align with our values

  • Communicate clearly and effectively

  • Follow policies and procedures with consistency

  • Work well in a team environment

  • Can problem solve and adapt to challenges

Essential Criteria

To be considered, applicants must have (or be willing to obtain):

  • Legal right to work in Australia

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant qualification)

  • First Aid & CPR Certificate

  • Infection Control Certificate

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)

  • QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

  • QLD Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance

  • Completion of the NDIS Commission’s 4 modules

Highly regarded skills include:

  • Experience with psychosocial conditions

  • Manual handling competency

  • Personal care experience
