We are an established Gold Coast accounting practice based in Mermaid Beach seeking a qualified full-time Accountant to join our small, professional team.

Our firm works closely with business and individual clients to thoughtfully manage financial affairs, effectively manage risks, identify opportunities and support long-term growth.

This role involves responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio of clients and delivering a range of high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services. The successful candidate will contribute to client success by ensuring accurate compliance work as well as being an asset within the firm’s collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for a variety of entities including individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships

BAS and IAS preparation, review, and lodgement

Australian taxation compliance and tax planning support

Ongoing client liaison and advisory support

Use of cloud accounting software to manage, reconcile and analyse accounts

Contribute to business advisory and structuring work where required

Maintain internal workflows and meet key deadlines consistently

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in an Australian public practice accounting role

Solid understanding of Australian Taxation and compliance requirements

Demonstrated competency with Xero, MYOB, and Xero Practice Manager

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach

Comfort working within collaborative internal processes and software systems

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
