We are seeking an experienced Cleaning Area Supervisor to oversee the cleaning and maintenance of Recycling Kiosks across multiple locations in Geelong area. Local would is preferable for this role. You will play a key role in ensuring that these state-of-the-art machines remain operational and clean, enabling the continuation of the Container Deposit Scheme initiative.

This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to an environmental project that directly supports sustainable recycling practices. You’ll manage cleaning staff, ensure strict adherence to cleaning standards, conduct digital quality assurance (QA) audits, and help resolve operational issues, all while maintaining strong customer and partner relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of Recycling Kiosks across multiple locations.

  • Ensure Recycling Kiosks are cleaned to the highest standards and that maintenance schedules are adhered to.

  • Schedule cleaning staff for multiple locations, ensuring attendance, work completion, and that tasks are completed as per contract requirements.

  • Conduct digital quality assurance (QA) audits to ensure cleaning procedures are followed correctly.

  • Provide ongoing guidance and training to cleaning staff, ensuring all procedures are understood and followed.

  • Regularly audit cleaning staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.

  • Identify and implement improvements in operational processes to enhance cleaning efficiency.

  • Address and resolve issues from cleaning staff, employees, or site stakeholders.

  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

  • Assist with hands-on cleaning when required, in line with cleaning guides.

Requirements:

  • Proven supervisory experience in cleaning or facilities management across a multi-site account

  • Strong communication and customer service skills to build and maintain relationships with cleaning staff and stakeholders.

  • Ability to handle conflict resolution and remain calm under pressure.

  • Excellent time management skills for managing multiple locations and scheduling staff effectively.

  • Experience in cleaning staff management and conducting performance audits.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and general systems knowledge.

  • Experience with conducting digital quality assurance (QA) audits.

  • Willingness to travel within your designated area, including occasional regional travel.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations.
