Job Description:

We are hiring! Gold Coast Disability and Youth is seeking an experienced Recruitment Officer to join our team and will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment and onboarding across the organisation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our workforce meets all regulatory, compliance, and quality standards required within the disability and youth support sector.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for community and Head Office roles

  • Draft, post, and manage job advertisements across multiple platforms

  • Screen applications and conduct phone and face-to-face interviews

  • Coordinate and complete reference checks, right-to-work checks, and background screening

  • Manage compliance requirements, including NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, police checks, and mandatory documentation

  • Prepare and issue employment contracts and new starter paperwork

  • Coordinate inductions and support new starters through onboarding

  • Liaise with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and role requirements

  • Maintain accurate recruitment and employee records in HR systems

  • Support continuous improvement of recruitment and onboarding processes

 Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills

  • Experience recruiting frontline support workers

  • NDIS Working Screening Check

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain)

  • Current Blue & Yellow card (or ability to obtain)

  • Full-time availability (38 hours) 

Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience in recruitment, ideally within disability, community, or youth services

  • Understanding of compliance-based recruitment requirements

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Professional, empathetic, and values-driven approach

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise efficiently

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
