Male Support Worker Role – Real People, Real Support, Real Banter
Let’s skip the fluff. This role supports real humans living real lives. It may involve being on your feet, assisting with mobility, and could involve some personal care (yes, things like hygiene and toileting, done respectfully and professionally). If you think support work is just hanging out or sitting down all shift, this isn’t that job. You’ll need to be physically fit, adaptable, and able to keep up with busy days. Bonus points if you think turning up on time is a basic life skill, not a special achievement.
This is support, not rescue. You’ll be helping people do things, not doing everything for them. That means encouraging independence, following care plans without becoming a robot, and using patience, humour, and common sense when life throws curveballs. Some days are smooth, some days are chaotic, and some days are held together with teamwork and good banter.
You’ll fit right in if you’re reliable (like, actually reliable), emotionally mature, and communicate if life happens. You’ll need a driver’s licence, full car insurance, a WWCC, an NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain), and First Aid & CPR.
Available shifts:
Wednesday: 6am–2pm
Friday: 10am–1pm and 2pm–5pm
In return, you’ll get real support, no micromanaging, a team that has your back, work that genuinely matters, and top-tier banter included.
