Located in the Shoalhaven, Sikorsky Australia is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to coordinate the management of logistics activities supporting the RAN MH‑60R program.

Your responsibilities will include:

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will assume a leadership role within the Logistics Operations Team, orchestrating priorities across warehouse and distribution, quality assurance, and customer‑support functions. You will ensure that all activities comply with Defence policies and processes, assess supply‑chain performance, and deliver accurate reporting to satisfy program requirements. In addition, you will coach, mentor, and develop logistics staff, fostering professional growth while balancing competing priorities in a fast‑paced program environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and deliver Logistics Operational support to the MH-60R Program.
  • Lead and manage diverse teams to ensure contract deliverables are achieved.
  • Prepare briefing material and present briefings to management and internal/external customers.
  • Lead the creation of an effective organisational culture which recognises and values both individual and team contributions to organisational effectiveness.
  • Manage performance of staff to ensure all tasking is met.
  • Provide a high level of support to ensure on time delivery for internal and external customer requirements is achieved.
  • Drive the execution and continuous improvement of Logistics Operations process and procedures.
  • Establish, build and foster a strong working relationship with all logistics staff and key stakeholders.
  • Execute and ensure compliance with SAAL Logistics Policies and Procedures. Ensure compliance with CoA Policies and procedures.

About you:

You bring a deep, defence‑logistics expertise that spans warehouse & distribution, asset management, and supply‑chain governance. You are an effective people leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a customer-focused approach Your fluency with inventory‑management systems, coupled with a proven ability to pivot quickly amid shifting priorities, equips you to drive performance in even the most dynamic operational environments.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:

  • Extensive experience in Defence or similar logistics areas including inventory control, asset management, supply chain and Defence customer support.
  • Experience leading, managing, developing, and motivating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Significant experience working in an aviation support and distribution environment.
  • The ability to pre-empt problems and create opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience in warehouse operations.
  • Experience and knowledge of Defence Logistics Governance Policies and procedures.

Ideally you will possess qualifications in Logistics or Supply Chain Management with an understanding of Defence Logistics Supply Chain in an FMS environment.
