Description
Be a supervisor in 2026 for Buller Holidays!
Who are we?
We’re the backbone and powerhouse of Mt Buller!
Buller Holidays is the central information hub for every phone call, email, web chat, and booking that comes through the Mt Buller website.
As the Ticketing Supervisor, you’ll coordinate the ticketing team in their day-to-day operations at the Mt Buller Ticket Office. Your role will include staff rostering, training and ongoing development, assisting the front desk with general enquiries and managing lost property, as well as responding to ticket-specific email enquiries.
About us… and you!
We love delivering exceptional customer experiences and always go the extra mile to make sure our guests have the best time. Making others happy makes us happy!
We’re passionate about skiing and snowboarding, and through this, we know the mountain inside and out.
You’re an easy-going person who handles a fast-paced role like a barista at the 8am coffee rush - cool, calm and collected. We work indoors and stay warm while outdoor roles battle the wind, rain, and snow. Your role will be primarily based in the back office, with some time spent assisting at the front desk during busy periods or when guests need extra support.
Overtime can be available during peak periods, giving you the chance to knuckle down and earn some extra cash. We have an office just off the main run of Bourke Street, where you can store your skis or snowboard for quick access to lunch laps, night riding, or days off.
Did we mention ride breaks? Our flexible rosters are designed to help you maximise your time on the mountain - if skiing or snowboarding is your goal, we’ll help make it happen!
And best of all? You’ll be part of an energetic, fun-loving team who are excited to learn, grow, and make the most of their Mt Buller season too.
What you’ll be doing.
- Leading a small team of approximately 10 staff under the guidance of the Ticketing Manager and the Buller Holidays Manager.
- Creating accurate and efficient rosters based on workload and staff availability.
- Handling guest disputes and concerns with care, professionalism, and confidence.
- Providing information about Mt Buller, including snow products, transport, and activities
- Understanding mountain procedures to help guests plan their stay, and knowing who to contact when you need extra support.
- Selling lift tickets and assisting guests with lesson choices, general enquiries, and lost property.
- Redeeming lift tickets for sister resorts, Mountain Collective resorts, and Ikon Pass resorts.
- Delivering fast, friendly, and accurate service at all times.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Following all company standards regarding safety protocols, cash handling, and operating procedures.
If you bring the enthusiasm and can-do attitude, we’ll
provide the training and knowledge to help you succeed.
What we need from you.
- A natural role model and team leader who’s willing to go the extra mile.
- Availability to start earlier than the ski season, onboarding begins in May for this role.
- The ability to learn quickly and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, and a desire to do the right thing.
- Previous experience at Mt Buller or another ski resort is highly regarded.
- Experience in fast-paced environments such as travel, tourism, bookings, or coordination.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills, with strong written and spoken English.
- Confidence to make decisions independently and collaboratively.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to multitask across multiple systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, RTP, Freshworks, Windcave, Inntopia CRS, or Onsign (highly regarded)
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster with varying hours.
What we will give you.
This is a highly sought-after role with incredible benefits - but it’s more than just a job. It’s an experience. This is your chance to lead a team with support, grow your skills, and shape a season you’ll never forget.
