Situated on Bullock Island in Lakes Entrance, the iconic Lakes Entrance Fishermen’s Co-Op (LEFCOL) is one of Australia’s pre-eminent full-service unloading facilities, servicing the local fishing fleet. LEFCOL has established itself as one of the most important voices in the Australian Fishing Industry, and the largest (fleet and throughput) fishing co-operatives in Australia.
The latest addition to LEFCOL’s renowned seafood precinct is our over-the-water seafood café/restaurant. The vibrant and bustling atmosphere of this upmarket eatery has been growing, and with our liquor licence near complete we are ready to create bigger and better experiences for our loyal customers.
Are you:

Your key responsibilities will include:
- welcoming and greeting customers with a warm and friendly demeanour
- Serving alcoholic beverages responsibly
- taking accurate orders
- efficiently processing payments and maintain accurate cash-handling procedures
- coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
- monitoring dining areas to ensure cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to hygiene standards
- attending to customer feedback and concerns in a professional, courteous manner, seeking opportunities for resolution
- upselling additional menu items, promotions or specials, to enhance the customer experience and increase revenue
- collaborating with colleagues to maintain a harmonious and efficient work environment
- staying updated on product knowledge
- contributing to a positive team culture by fostering open communication, cooperation, and a strong work ethic.
Key Selection Criteria
- Current RSA
- Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of seafood and familiarity with fish and chippery operations is a plus
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and handling cash transactions
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and proactive.
