An opportunity has become available for a Trade Coordinator (Electrical) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Manage in-house labour as well as supervise day labour and/or contractors where necessary
Monitor the work performance and outcomes of trades work
Carry out corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with trade qualification held
Assist management in providing cost estimates for works as requested
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
The successful incumbent to this position will be required to possess an Australian electrical trade qualification or equivalent / superior qualification which will enable the person to fulfil the requirements of the role
Driver Licence
While not mandatory, a maintenance management background with a sound knowledge of strategic maintenance planning and Data Cabling Licence will be highly regarded
The successful candidate will be required to participate in an on-call roster as deemed necessary and may be required to work outside of approved working hours
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $108 398.40 per annum (inclusive of Trade Coordinator allowance)

Maintenance and Asset Services Gold Coast University Hospital and Southport Health Precinct (GCUH/SHP) sits within the line of Asset Management Services within the People and Operatons Division and comprises of a Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technical Officers, Administration staff and Trade Coordinators.
Maintenance and Asset Services GCUH/SHP is responsible for statutory, preventative and reactive maintenance across the Gold Coast Hospital & Health Service. Maintenance Services includes but is not limited to: electrical work, fire systems, water cooling, plumbing, heating ventiliation and air conditioning, bed maintenance, backup power and garden maintenance.
