Cazalys is seeking an enthusiastic full-time Junior Finance Officer (Traineeship) to join the Group Finance team. In this entry-level role you will support day-to-day finance activities across multiple venues, working closely with an experienced Chief Financial Officer and finance team. You will gain hands-on experience in accounts payable, basic reconciliations and finance administration while completing a relevant Certificate III/IV traineeship.

What you’ll be doing

  • Enter supplier invoices into the finance system with accurate coding under supervision.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders, obtain approvals and help prepare weekly/fortnightly payment runs.
  • Maintain organised electronic and paper filing of invoices, statements and other finance documents.
  • Assist with reconciling supplier statements, petty cash, banking summaries and other simple month-end tasks.
  • Process business credit card transactions and staff expense claims, following up missing receipts as required under supervision.
  • Provide general admin support to the finance team, including scanning, photocopying, mail and basic enquiries from staff and suppliers.

About you

  • Interested in a career in accounting/finance and keen to learn on the job through a formal traineeship program (or already completed a relevant Certificate).
  • No prior finance experience required; any exposure to accounts, retail cash handling or office admin is a bonus.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word, with a willingness to learn accounting systems/software.
  • High attention to detail, reliable, punctual and able to handle confidential financial information appropriately.
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills and able to work as part of a small, supportive team.

What we offer

  • A rare opportunity for an entry-level or structured traineeship (Certificate III/IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business or similar).
  • Support and mentoring from an experienced CFO and finance team across a diverse hospitality/club group.
  • Stable employment and opportunities to grow your skills and responsibility over time.
  • A friendly, professional work environment.
