As a Crowd Control Specialist at Specialty Security Service (SSS), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons and staff at various events and hospitality venues. You'll be the first line of defence in managing crowds, diffusing conflicts, and maintaining a secure environment.
Your duties will extend from pre-event planning to real-time crowd management and post-event reporting. We're looking for dynamic individuals who can adapt to different settings, from concerts to corporate events, and who share our commitment to professionalism and excellence in service.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Event Planning: Collaborate with event organisers to understand the layout, potential risks, and required security measures.
- Crowd Management: Monitor crowd behaviour and intervene proactively to prevent incidents. Utilise crowd control techniques to maintain order during high-traffic events.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts and disturbances effectively and professionally, aiming for a peaceful resolution whenever possible.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies by providing basic first aid and coordinating with medical professionals for advanced care.
- Reporting: Document all incidents and actions taken during events. Compile reports for both internal use and client debriefings.
Qualifications
- Valid Security Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to undergo continuous training and development
Skills Desired
- Experience in hospitality or events is a plus
- Basic knowledge of self-defence techniques
- Teamwork and leadership abilities
- Problem-solving skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour
