This 12 month Fixed-Term Contract role supports Ventia’s operations across Australia by assisting with purchasing administration and maintaining accurate procurement data. Based in Ventia’s Toowoomba CBD office, the position suits someone early in their career or looking to build experience in a corporate, fast paced environment.

Working within a collaborative team, you’ll provide essential administrative support to ensure purchasing activities run smoothly and in line with Ventia’s policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Processing purchase requisitions Assisting with the collection and recording of supplier quotesRectifying Invoice discrepanciesCollating, entering, and maintaining purchasing and supplier dataPerforming routine data entry and administrative tasks to support the teamFollowing up on queries within the team and with other internal departmentsLiaising with suppliers as required to support day to day purchasing activities

Skills & Experience

This role would suit someone with transferable skills from administration, customer service, warehousing, retail, or data entry backgrounds, or someone looking to start a career in corporate operations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and OutlookStrong attention to detail and accuracyThe ability to manage routine tasks and meet deadlinesClear written and verbal communication skillsGood organisational and time management skillsA willingness to learn and work as part of a team
