We are seeking an experienced Carpenter – Leading Hand to run day-to-day site activities and lead a small team of carpenters and apprentices. The role requires strong hands-on carpentry skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to quality, safety, and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise carpenters, labourers, and apprentices on site

Carry out high-quality carpentry works including:

Framing
-
Fix-out
-
Cladding
-
-
Interpret and work from construction drawings and specifications
-
Plan daily tasks and coordinate labour and materials
-
Ensure works are completed on time and to a high standard

Liaise with site supervisors, builders, and subcontractors
-
Maintain a safe work environment and enforce OH&S requirements
-
Conduct quality checks and rectify defects as required
-
Mentor and train apprentices and junior staff
Skills & Experience
-
Qualified Carpenter (Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent)
-
Minimum 5–7 years carpentry experience
-
Previous experience as a Leading Hand or Site Supervisor preferred

Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction
-
Ability to read plans and manage site workflow
-
Good communication and leadership skills

High attention to detail and workmanship

Strong problem-solving skills
