The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a hands on individual who is accountable for the operations, partnerships, activation, and services of the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre (BVCCC).

As a BVCCC Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring it is prepared for functions, events, and meetings, including coordination of catering, entertainment, décor, audio visual equipment, promotional materials, cleaning, and security. You will prepare staff rosters and allocate staff in line with venue hire requirements and BVSC policies and procedures, coordinate site inspections and event scheduling, and act as an approved liquor manager for the BVCCC.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a current NSW Liquor Licence Approved Manager qualification and has a minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in venue management, hospitality, and/or event management (Indicative).

You will have the following skills and experience;

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.Demonstrated experience representing and successfully marketing venue facilities and events.High level of written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to positively influence, persuade and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ability in the use of the Microsoft Office range of products.

Benefits

This is a fixed term full time position working 35 hours per week for a period of twelve (12) months.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $91,588.22 gross per annum, comprising of:

$1,572.60 per week base salary$188.71 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
