Our District’s Oral Health (Dental) services are provided to eligible patients at the following locations: Nepean Centre for Oral Health, Blue Mountains Hospital Dental Clinic, Hawkesbury Dental Clinic, and the Lithgow Hospital Dental Clinic. The team offers public dental services including diagnosis, restorative and preventative treatments, pain relief and dentures.

In this position, you’ll work closely with dental clinicians, providing essential chairside support in a range of clinical situations. You’ll also play an active role in the Primary School Mobile Dental Program, helping deliver much‑needed services directly to children in school settings. Maintaining high standards of infection control will be central to your day, along with ensuring dental equipment is cleaned, prepared, and functioning smoothly. Beyond the clinic, you’ll contribute to oral health promotion activities, engaging with the community to encourage healthier habits and greater awareness.

What you will bring to the role: 

  1. Demonstrated recent and adequate experience in chair side dental assisting with or without Certificate III in dental assisting
  2. Demonstrated ability to perform effective and efficient infection prevention and control procedures in all aspects of Dental Assisting
  3. Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in dental charting
  4. Effective communication written and verbal communication skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to work in a large, multidiscipline team environment
  6. Demonstrated excellent organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills
  7. Data entry experience and skills
