The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our Field Service Division on a 7/7 rotating day/night roster.

In this role, you will carry out diagnostics, maintenance, and component change-outs on predominantly CAT mining equipment, with exposure to Komatsu and Hitachi fleets across multiple Bowen Basin mine sites.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated tradesperson who can work autonomously in the field while meeting client expectations and upholding Westhill’s 0-1-10 safety commitment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic

• Strong experience with CAT mining equipment, including diagnostics and component change-outs

• Exposure to Komatsu or Hitachi equipment (highly regarded)

• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, or willingness to obtain

• A strong safety focus and professional attitude

• Current driver’s licence
