About the role

As a Leading Queensland based Electrical Mining Projects company GB Industries Electrical Contractors are currently seeking an experienced Mine Site Project Manager to join our Electrical team.

You will be responsible for leading and delivering on a range of ongoing mining projects across the Bowen Basin, ensuring completions on time, within budget and to our industry leading quality and safety standards.

Role

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of mining projects, from tender to planning and execution, as well as on site management, monitoring and reporting

• Develop of tenders and project plans, for implementation, delivering to plan, to schedule and on budget in meeting client needs.

• Liaison with clients, stakeholders and project team members to ensure clear communication and alignment in fulfilling scope of work.

• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, challenges and any variations throughout the project lifecycle

• Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, environmental, industrial and quality standards

• Lead, mentor and develop our team of Electrical project professionals

• Continuously seek ways to improve project and business processes and efficiencies

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the mining industry

• Demonstrated track record for successful delivery of complex mining projects

• Excellent project management skills, including tendering, planning, budgeting and risk management

• Strong leadership and people management abilities

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills

• Thorough understanding of mining operations, processes and industry/regulatory requirements

• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Projects
