About Andromedae

We’re not your typical accounting firm, and will never try to be. We’re a modern, values-led practice that spans accounting, administration, and (soon-to-be) financial planning. We’re built for people who care about doing excellent work and genuinely enjoying their working week.

We’re in the process of launching our financial planning arm, expanding our back-office team, growing deliberately, and building a brand-new office in Burleigh that is close to the beach.

About the Role

As Practice Manager at Andromedae, you’ll play a key role in keeping the business connected, steady, and running smoothly as we continue to grow from our teenage years into adulthood.

You’ll work across accounting, administration, and financial planning to help keep teams aligned, supported and clear on priorities. This role is about bringing cohesion – ensuring people, workloads, and expectations are well coordinated so client delivery remains consistent, compliant, and reflects the friendly, high quality interactions they’ve come to expect.

You’ll partner closely with our Operations Manager, Tax Agent and (when in place) Financial Planning leaders, to support day-to-day delivery, manage competing priorities, and surface issues early. You’ll have visibility across how work flows through the practice and will help ensure momentum as complexity grows.

As we bring our financial planning arm fully online, you’ll be instrumental in helping it integrate naturally into the wider company, shaping how teams work together, how clients experience the business, and how we grow without losing what makes Andromedae, Andromedae.

This role suits someone who enjoys detail, stays close to people, and is trusted to make informed decisions as the practice evolves.

About You

You have deep experience working in a financial planning practice and understand how advice businesses operate. You know the flow of work, the compliance requirements, and what it takes to support advisers and clients properly. You’ve also worked within or  alongside accounting teams, and you’re comfortable in that environment. Experience in a combined practice is a bonus.

You’re organised, logical, observant, and good at keeping track of what’s happening across a business. You tend to notice early when things are drifting, when priorities are colliding, or when someone needs clarity rather than pressure. You’re comfortable stepping in, asking questions, and making decisions that keep the practice on track with its goals and in line with its values.

You work well with a range of personalities and disciplines and you’re happy partnering with operations, tax, and financial planning leaders to deliver results.

You value professionalism and clear expectations, but you also want a workplace you enjoy.  You’re looking for a role where your judgment is trusted, your experience is genuinely needed, and the business is growing with intention, without losing its personality.

Skills & Experience Required

●      Demonstrated experience operating across accounting and/or professional services environments, with an understanding of how accounting, tax, and advice functions intersect.

●      Proven ability to coordinate work across multiple teams and disciplines without direct line authority.

●      Strong people skills, with experience supporting, guiding, and holding teams accountable in a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment.

●      High level of judgement, discretion, and professionalism when dealing with sensitive people, clients, and compliance matters.

●      Ability to identify delivery, capacity, or people issues early and facilitate practical resolution with the appropriate leaders.

●      Clear, confident communicator able to work effectively with technical specialists, operations, and leadership.
