The Role

We’re seeking a Casual Factory Processor to join our operations team at The Channon. This is a hands on role supporting both factory processing and farm activities, ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, variety and being part of a production team.

You’ll be involved in transforming harvested leaf into high-quality dried spices, oils and hydrosols, while maintaining food safety, quality and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor processing equipment (dryers, stills and related machinery)
• Record production and quality data accurately
• Weigh, pack, seal and label finished products
• Prepare orders for dispatch, including palletising
• Maintain cleanliness of production and storage areas
• Assist with farm tasks such as harvesting and general field work
• Follow all food safety, quality assurance and WHS procedures
• Operate a forklift safely (where licensed)

Skills & Experience

• Interest in practical, hands-on work
• Experience working with machinery or in a factory / farm environment (preferred)
• Forklift licence desirable (or willingness to obtain)
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, safety focused and detail oriented
• Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions
