Hydraulic Designer – Building Services Consultancy

Plumbing Design & Drafting (PDD) are expanding and we’re looking for a Hydraulic Designer to join our growing Sunshine Coast–based consultancy. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects in a supportive, down-to-earth team environment.

This role would suit a junior–intermediate designer looking to develop their technical skills and take greater ownership of projects over time.

About the Role

You’ll be involved in the design and coordination of hydraulic services from concept through to construction documentation, working closely with Revit technicians, engineers, architects, and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and documentation of hydraulic services using AutoCAD and/or Revit

· Coordination with architects, builders, and other building services disciplines

· Preparing drawings and documentation in accordance with AS3500, NCC, and local authority requirements

· Reviewing and coordinating models and drawings for design accuracy

· Assisting with council submissions and project approvals

· Supporting BIM coordination and resolving design clashes with the wider team

About You

· Experience or strong interest in hydraulic services design

· Working knowledge of Australian Standards (AS3500) and plumbing design requirements

· Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit (Revit preferred)

· Good communication and coordination skills

· Well-organised, reliable, and detail-focused

· Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within a consultancy environment

Salary: $80,000 – $125,000 + super (negotiable based on experience)
