Field Service Plant Mechanic – Griffith

As a Field Service Plant Mechanic at WesTrac, you will be on the front-line supporting customers across the Griffith region - diagnosing faults, completing high‑quality repairs, and keeping CAT equipment performing at its best. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will use your technical expertise to solve problems quickly and deliver the level of service our customers rely on.

This hands‑on role is all about minimising downtime and ensuring machines are safe, reliable, and ready to work. With a strong focus on safety, workmanship, and customer service, you’ll play a key part in keeping our customers operating with confidence.

Roster and Remuneration
Monday – Friday – DAY SHIFT ONLYShift times: 7:00AM – 17:30PMPhone + laptop + tool of trade vehicle suppliedAnnual earnings FROM $132,000 - $150,000*Rates above are a guide only and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experience*

Skills & Experience
Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification with heavy industry experience essentialExperience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and/or components is highly regarded A solutions-focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements Demonstrated written and verbal communication skillsUnrestricted Drivers LicenceClose attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standardsTeam oriented with proven ability to meet set deadlines
