The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a proactive individual to provide daily direction, guidance, resources, and expert advice to team members while carrying out construction and maintenance primarily on BVSC road assets and associated infrastructure.

As a Roads Maintenance Team Leader, you will inspect road assets to determine appropriate repair methods and supervise the operation of specialised plant, vehicles, and pavement maintenance activities. You will lead and mentor teams while overseeing traffic management and a broad range of road maintenance tasks, including asphalting, concreting, drainage works, pothole repairs, and installation of road furniture.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Cert IV Civil Construction (or similar) and has a minimum of five (5) years’ recent related experience in team leadership in a similar role dealing with an outdoor maintenance focused workforce (Indicative.)

You will have the following skills and experience;

Demonstrated plant operating skills in a variety of plant equipment working on road asset maintenance activities or similar.Demonstrated relevant experience in roads asset maintenance works which may include pavement rehabilitation, stabilisation, grading, re-sheeting, and material selection.Demonstrated ability to interpret both paper and electronically based plans and schedules and apply these to work being performed.Experience in the use of proprietary software to capture maintenance data.

Benefits

This is a permanent full time position working 38 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $83,725.82 gross per annum, comprising of:

$1,437.60 per week base salary$172.51 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
