New possibilities await experienced Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join the established nursing team on the Medical/Surgical and Rehab Wards. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing a structured approach, carrying out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients;
  • Implementing planned evidence-based nursing interventions within your scope of practice;
  • Demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and procedures, and management of patients seeking outstanding care;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding junior nursing team members;
  • Implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into service provision;
  • Maintaining and adhering to Infection Control policies and practices;
  • Complying with organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines. 

Additionally, you will be provided with many learning opportunities across a diverse range of nursing skill sets. You will enhance health outcomes by providing safe, quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Recent nursing experience on a medical/surgical or rehab ward;
  • Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles.

REMUNERATION

$40.48 - $54.60 per hour.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

The hospital, located in Darwin, is a licensed 122-bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Surgery, Urology, Gastroenterology, ENT, and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
