We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our small, dedicated Opiate Treatment Service based in Taree, located on the beautiful Manning River. Our service forms part of the Lower Mid-North Coast Pharmacotherapy Service, where we pride ourselves on delivering person-centred, respectful, and ethical care to our local community.

About The Service

The service is located at the Manning Base Hospital Campus, conveniently close to supermarkets, retail outlets, and other local amenities. You will be working within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team that values teamwork, mutual support, and a healthy dose of good-natured banter.

About The Role

This role involves the delivery of pharmacotherapy services to clients across the local region. Day-to-day responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Conducting client assessments and reviewsSupporting Medical Officer clinicsImplementing and monitoring individualised treatment regimesWorking collaboratively with the broader healthcare teamManaging workload autonomously where required, within appropriate timeframesWhile the position is advertised as full time, hours are negotiable and will be discussed with the convenor and manager.

Essential Criteria

Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and understanding of Drug and Alcohol services and/or a strong willingness to learnCurrent registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.Eligible to drive in NSW and ability to undertake work responsibilities out of normal work hours with a willingness to travel when required.

* Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions.
