Dawn2Dusk Café is a well-established boutique café located in the Helensvale and Hope Island community on the Gold Coast. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality specialty coffee, a refined café menu, and a consistently high standard of customer service.
We are seeking an experienced full-time Café Manager to take full responsibility for the daily operations and performance of the business.
Key Responsibilities
The Café Manager will plan, organise, direct and control the overall operations of the café to ensure efficient service delivery, financial performance, and compliance with all relevant regulations. Duties include but are not limited to:
· Managing the day-to-day operations of the café, including front-of-house service, workflow coordination, and staff supervision
· Recruiting, training, rostering, supervising, and performance-managing front-of-house and kitchen staff
· Preparing staff rosters and managing labour costs to meet budget and operational targets
· Overseeing stock control, ordering supplies, managing supplier relationships, and monitoring wastage
· Setting pricing strategies and monitoring costs in line with budget forecasts and business objectives
· Maintaining accurate records of stock, sales, expenses, and financial transactions
· Ensuring compliance with food safety standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and relevant licensing regulations
· Handling customer enquiries and complaints, and actively monitoring customer satisfaction to maintain service quality
· Coordinating menu planning and promotions in consultation with chefs and owners
· Planning and organising special events or functions where required
· Implementing operational procedures to improve efficiency, service quality, and overall business performance
Skills & Experience
· At least three years of relevant full-time experience in a café or restaurant management role
· A relevant qualification at AQF Diploma level or above (or equivalent experience)
· Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
· Proven ability to manage staff, control costs, and meet financial targets
