About Us Vagmine Pty Ltd trading as La Porchetta Cowes operates a well-established Italian restaurant in the heart of Cowes, Victoria.

We are known for our authentic Italian cuisine, welcoming dining atmosphere, and consistent service standards. With a strong local customer base and steady tourism trade, our restaurant requires structured leadership to manage daily operations and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. We are now seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house and overall restaurant operations.

Location: 2/68–80 Thompson Ave, Cowes VIC 3922 Position: Restaurant Manager – Full-Time Salary: $78,000 – $82,000 + Superannuation

About the Role The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day restaurant operations, including staff supervision, customer service standards, financial control, and compliance. This is a hands-on management role requiring strong leadership, organisational skills, and hospitality experience.

Key Responsibilities 1. Manage daily restaurant operations including opening and closing procedures. 2. Supervise, roster, train, and support front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service delivery.

3. Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally. 4. Monitor sales performance and assist with budgeting and cost control. 5. Manage inventory, stock ordering, and supplier coordination.

6. Oversee cash handling, POS systems, and daily reconciliations. 7. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements. 8. Maintain restaurant presentation, cleanliness, and service standards at all times.

9. Implement company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. 10. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and customer satisfaction. Skills & Experience

1. Qualification (Diploma or higher) in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2. Min. three years of experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a similar hospitality leadership role. 3. Strong understanding of restaurant operations, customer service, and staff management.

4. Ability to manage rosters, performance, and daily operational priorities. 5. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. 6. Ability to work independently in a busy hospitality environment.
