About the Role
Serve as the primary contact for the Open Space and Tree asset portfolio, with responsibility for the overall management of open space and tree asset management practices. This includes strategic asset planning, ensuring data quality and integrity, and supporting effective decision-making for sustainable asset management.
Reporting to the Team Leader Asset Management the core responsibilities include:
- Develop, review, and update the Open Space Asset Management Plan in alignment with organizational objectives and community needs.
- Lead open space renewal modelling and establish prioritisation frameworks for renewal works based on risk, condition, and service level requirements
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of Open Space and Tree asset data within the asset management system
- Coordinate Open Space asset revaluations and condition assessments to ensure accurate financial reporting and informed decision-making.
- Lead initiatives to improve open space and tree asset management practices, processes, and systems.
- Support internal asset managers and external service providers in delivering asset-supported services.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications are highly desirable - ideally in a relevant field such as asset management, civil engineering, spatial systems (GIS), data management, or a closely related discipline.Â
- Demonstrated experience in asset management planning, including developing, reviewing, and updating Asset Management Plans. Experience in public sector infrastructure asset management is considered highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyse and interpret and report complex data sets.
- Sound understanding of Asset Management Information Systems such as TechnologyOne, GIS platforms and asset predicting software.
- Ability to collect condition data, model renewal requirements, and conduct asset revaluations.
- Detail focused, creative & innovative, flexible and resilient, learning focussed and driven.
