Why you’ll love this role:
You’ll step into a trusted advisory role where your work drives real outcomes, including:

  • High-value, high-risk procurement across a complex operating environment
  • Projects that improve supply continuity, savings, efficiencies and service delivery
  • A team that values customer focus, accountability, collaboration, and delivery
  • Gold Coast lifestyle — based in Southport

About the team:
The Strategic Procurement team supports key divisions to maximise resources, drive best value outcomes, leverage statewide buying power, and strengthen supplier performance — while ensuring compliance with relevant government procurement policy.

They’re looking for someone who is:

  • proactive and self-directed
  • trusted by senior stakeholders
  • comfortable working across boundaries
  • focused on outcomes and delivery

Key responsibilities In this role, you will:

  • Provide expert procurement and commercial advice to senior leaders
  • Lead sourcing and demand management initiatives to improve commercial outcomes
  • Undertake negotiation and issue resolution with suppliers, including supply risk mitigation
  • Support annual procurement planning aligned to divisional and organisational priorities
  • Prepare high-quality documentation including briefing notes and executive papers
  • Use data analysis to identify savings opportunities and efficiency improvements
  • Build project plans, manage timelines, report progress and manage risk
  • Strengthen stakeholder partnerships across operational areas and finance teams
  • Drive procurement value creation and supplier performance outcomes organisation-wide

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong procurement experience (government experience highly regarded)
  • Confidence across sourcing + contract management
  • Ability to influence and advise executive-level stakeholders
  • Strong commercial judgement, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities
  • A professional and collaborative approach aligned with public sector values
