About the Role
We're currently seeking part-time Disability Support Workers to join our team in delivering high-quality support within a Short-Term Accommodation (STA) setting, where you’ll work with up to four customers at a time. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced support workers who are confident in supporting customers with behaviours of concern, personal care, and more complex needs. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide a mix of 1:2, 1:3, and occasional 1:1 support to customers who access STA for short stays. You'll play a critical role in promoting a safe, structured, and positive environment that supports each person’s unique goals and quality of life.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting customers to engage in community outings and social events
- Assisting with PEG feeding, manual handling and personal care
- Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and managing challenging behaviours
- Preparing meals and administering medication as required
- Supporting daily living tasks, personal care and medication
- Maintaining accurate documentation including daily progress notes and incident reports
What We're Looking For:
- Prior experience supporting individuals with disabilities
- Experience or familiarity with PBS strategies, medication administration and manual handling
- Availability for regular sleepover shifts
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver’s Licence (P2 or open)
- Senior First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
