We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our production facility in Kapunda, SA.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability and performance of our mechanical equipment. You will play a key part in keeping our production operations running smoothly by carrying out preventative maintenance and responding quickly and effectively to unplanned breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing timely and effective repairs

Minimize downtime and improve overall equipment reliability

Identify improvement opportunities and recommend cost-saving initiatives

Provide technical expertise and diagnostic support

Complete daily prestart checks on all machinery and take action on any issues

Respond promptly to breakdowns and urgent maintenance needs

Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition and repairs performed
-
Participate in the after-hours call-out roster

Install, assemble and test new machinery and equipment

Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams on upgrades, repairs and new installations

Support continuous improvement initiatives and help refine SOP's

Maintain plant, tools and work areas

Uphold and promote all safety principles
What You Bring

A proactive, accountable approach to work

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated experience with preventative maintenance and fault diagnostics

Sound mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial machinery

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

Understanding of manufacturing processes and maintenance data

Proficiency with hand and power tools

Excellent problem-solving skills

Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or related discipline
