Gold Coast Heart Centre is a multi-location Cardiology practice located on the Gold Coast.

Due to the ongoing demand for cardiac services we are seeking a Cardiac Scientist to join our team (full time/part time/casual).

You will be required to work at our rooms within the following loctions:

• Gold Coast Private Hospital, Southport

• John Flynn Private Hospital, Tugun

• Pindara Private Hospital, Benowa

• Hope Island clinic

Qualifications & experience:

• Bachelor in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology [or equivalent]

Tasks & responsibilities

• To demonstrate an advanced level of ECG interpretation with accurate identification of abnormal rhythm types

• A minimum of 3-5 years of ECG interpretation experience is required to demonstrate the advanced level needed for this role

• To assist in the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with the application, interpretation and preliminary reporting for ECG, Holter, Event Loop, Blood Pressure testing and other cardiac tests as required

• Assist with patient preparation and consent for exercise stress testing and stress echocardiography

• Provide support to cardiologist and sonographer with stress echo and stress test lists

• Ensure a high standard of reporting is undertaken and all reports are completed in a timely manner

• Ordering of linen and medical supplies

• Ensure medical equipment is well maintained

Requirements

• Demonstrate excellent patient / customer care and communication skills

• Proven ability to work well within a team

• Experience in performing ECGs and fitting Holter/Remote Monitoring devices and Blood Pressure monitors in a busy and dynamic environment

• Demonstrate experience (or ability to rapidly acquire experience) in provision of exercise stress testing and stress echocardiogram

• Strong attention to detail;

• The ability to adapt to change, to work independently and collaboratively;

• Australian work rights are required for this position
