About the role

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Coordinator, Homelessness Accommodation Project to lead service delivery within Anglicare Southern Queensland's Social and Community Services portfolio.

This role provides operational leadership, project coordination and day-to-day support to a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, client centred homelessness responses to individuals, young people and families. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring contractual requirements are met, staff are supported, and services are delivered in line with trauma-informed, person centred and recovery-oriented practice.

This is a leadership role requiring strong people management, service coordination and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with a focus on delivering effective homelessness prevention, early intervention and crisis response outcomes.

This position is a fixed-term, full-time (12 month) opportunity, based at our head office in Fortitude Valley with regular travel to service locations within Logan as required.

Responsibilities

As the Coordinator, Homelessness Accommodation Project, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership, supervision and support to staff and volunteers.
  • Support team members with complex homelessness cases, including assessment, case planning, risk assessments and safety planning.
  • Conduct regular file audits to ensure quality assurance, compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, orientation and ongoing support of staff and volunteers.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and values-aligned team culture.
  • Ensure team performance aligns with business plans, service objectives and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Service Manager regarding service delivery, risks, performance and emerging needs.
  • Ensure continuity and quality of service delivery, including managing caseloads and backfilling when required.
  • Monitor service delivery against funding guidelines and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure staff operate within approved frameworks, boundaries, policies and procedures.
  • Liaise and build strong relationships with external agencies, housing providers, support services and key stakeholders.
  • Implement innovative, integrated and client-centred homelessness service delivery models.
  • Participate in an on-call roster to support client and service needs, where required.
  • Oversee the maintenance of databases and accurate client records.
  • Ensure compliance with incident management, complaints handling and reporting processes.
  • Collate and report on service user, staff and stakeholder feedback.
  • Complete required reporting and administrative tasks to support service delivery and funding obligations.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of systems, processes, policies and procedures.
  • Identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities for innovation within homelessness service delivery.
  • Promote continuous learning, reflective practice and professional development within the team.
  • Encourage initiative, innovation and the sharing of ideas and best practice.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in service coordination, project delivery, team leadership and case management.
  • A strong client-focused background, ideally within homelessness, housing, youth, mental health or family support services.
  • Sound understanding and practical application of trauma-informed, person-centred and recovery-oriented practice.
  • Proven ability to lead, support and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and resource management skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilise client management and reporting systems.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Current Blue Card.
  • Current Queensland Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
