Position PurposeThe Audiologist / Audiometrist will be primarily based across our Maitland and Adamstown Clinics, with some travel to regional locations as required. This role suits a highly empathetic professional with excellent communication skills and patience, who is committed to delivering exceptional client care. Working as part of a collaborative team, the clinician will provide professional, personalised hearing services to ensure clients experience a seamless and positive hearing care journey. This includes supporting clients through WorkCover claims, the Government Hearing Services Program, and private services. The Audiologist / Audiometrist plays a key role in delivering high-quality hearing health care and rehabilitation, consistently aligned with our company values and commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities Performing hearing tests and diagnosisPrescribing hearing aids to successful workers compensation recipients, HSP and private clientsFitting hearing aids to successful workers compensation recipients, HSP and private clientsConducting annual reviews as per WorkCover and HSP fee schedulesConducting adjustments, maintenance and minor repairs of hearing aidsDiagnosis of audiogramsTelephone clients for client enquiries, follow ups and annual reviews when neededConduct telehealth appointments where applicableLiaise and work closely with Customer Service officersMaintain Clinic Housekeeping and Management to a high standardImplementing Industry best practice in a pragmatic and functional wayProviding feedback to management regarding areas for improvementProcess improvement and technology focus (Efficiency, digitalisation, productivity)Preserve, protect and enhance the goodwill of the business carried on by the EmployerAssist management with special projectsSupervise and support graduate audiologists undergoing an internshipProvide and perform such other duties within the limits of your competence in connection with the business carried on by Employer or as the Employer may reasonably direct from time to time.
QualificationsDiploma in Audiometry or Masters of Audiology2+ years as a Qualified Practitioner (QP number is required)All applicants must be full Members of Audiology AustraliaAll applicants must be a Member of Australian College of Audiology (ACAud) Demonstrates a self-driven and proactive nature while upholding high clinical standards and effectively managing multiple tasks in an organised manner.Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience and active listening abilities.Possesses high computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new software, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with a strong knowledge of all clinical processes.Comprehensive knowledge of all clinical processes, along with proficient understanding of clinical care practices and procedures.Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
