You will join a tier-1 mining client in North West Queensland, supporting medium to long term mine planning activities across open cut operations. Working closely with an experienced consultant planning engineer, you will contribute to practical and achievable mine plans that support production and processing requirements.
This role is well suited to a planning engineer looking to further develop their capability in scheduling and mine design without stepping into a senior or standalone position. You will work across multiple pits feeding processing facilities, gaining exposure to integrated planning environments.
The role offers a high level of flexibility around roster and working arrangements. While site rosters currently include 14/14 and 12/9, this position is ideally suited to an 8/6 or 5/2 roster to ensure consistent planning coverage and continuity.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop medium and long term mine plans and schedules
• Support open cut mine and dump design activities
• Collaborate with site and consultant planning engineers
• Integrate plans across multiple mining areas and facilities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes

About you
• Proven experience in open cut mine planning or scheduling
• Exposure to multi-site operations feeding process facilities
• Capability in mine and dump design is highly regarded
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to work flexibly across site-based planning teams
