About the role:
This role leads the coordination and delivery of harvesting and roading activities across the Bombala Management Area, bringing together planning, operational oversight and contractor management to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with environmental and regulatory requirements. You’ll monitor budgets and operational performance, oversee roading programs and maintenance, guide tender processes, and work closely with internal teams and contractors to keep operations running smoothly. The role also involves maintaining the systems that support harvesting and haulage, providing clear communication across stakeholders, and supporting the development of capability across the workforce.
What you’ll Bring
Experience in harvesting and/or roading operations, with the ability to manage programs and make sound operational decisions. Confidence working with budgets, tenders and operational systems to support efficient delivery. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide clear direction, build constructive relationships and work effectively with contractors, staff and stakeholders. A collaborative approach — someone who can coach, guide and lift capability across the team while creating a positive, solutions‑focused working environment. A solid understanding of environmental, safety and regulatory requirements within plantation forestry. A proactive mindset and the ability to stay organised while balancing multiple operational priorities.
