Role details

The Dysart Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse (Community Health) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Clinical Nurse (CN) provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The CN provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Dysart Hospital Health Service.

About The Team

Dysart Health Service is located in the Isaac Regional Shire in the town of Dysart, approximately 250kms south-west from Mackay, a journey which takes approximately 2.5 hours. Dysart's main industry is mining, agriculture and farming. Dysart Hospital is a 9-bed acute facility which has an Emergency Department, Allied Health, visiting health services, which all cater for the populations of Dysart, Middlemount and the surrounding districts.
