This is a rare opportunity to lead a complex, multi-site Physiotherapy service within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. Reporting to senior Allied Health leadership, you'll oversee a large and diverse workforce, drive clinical governance, guide workforce strategy and champion quality improvement across acute, community and specialty settings.

You'll work closely with multidisciplinary partners, universities and state-wide networks to strengthen education, research and service sustainability. About us:

Physiotherapy provides assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic interventions to help people recover from injury or illness or to support developmental assessment. The interventions include exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, exercise capacity and functional ability, therapy interventions to reduce pain and stiffness, airway clearance strategies to improve lung function, muscle re training and therapy for developmental growth. The Physiotherapy Service delivers care in cancer/lymphoedema, palliative care, cardiorespiratory, intensive care, emergency department, gerontology, musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopaedic, pelvic health and paediatric specialty areas.

About the role:

The Director of Physiotherapy at Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) provides strategic and operational leadership for Physiotherapy services across Central Queensland, ensuring alignment with both health service and state-wide priorities.

They oversee Physiotherapists and support staff in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care across diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, community services, and aged care. Additionally, they drive multidisciplinary collaboration, lead Allied Health initiatives, and advocate for the advancement of Physiotherapy services within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service and across the state.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $190,788 p.a. is comprised of:

An hourly rate between $81.47 - $84.33 p.h. 12.75% employer superannuation contribution17.5% leave loading
