  • Starting wage $66,703 per annum / $33.75 per hr 
  • 15% Employer Superannuation 
  • Fortnightly Rostered Days Off 

The Role

As a Parks & Reserves Field Worker, you will be an essential member of our team, helping to maintain and enhance the natural beauty and functionality of our community spaces. Your day-to-day work will include: 

  • Maintaining parks, reserves, and recreational facilities to a high standard, including mowing, weeding, pruning, town gardening, street trees and general grounds maintenance 
  • Assisting with the construction and repair of park infrastructure such as pathways, fencing, seating, and playground equipment 
  • Operating and maintaining a range of tools, equipment and machinery safely  
  • Responding to maintenance requests and helping plan upcoming works 
  • Working with your team to deliver quality outcomes for our community 

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will have the following: 

  • Experience in parks and grounds maintenance, horticulture, arboriculture or a related field 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required 
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship 
  • Physical fitness and capability to undertake manual tasks in varying weather conditions 
  • Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
