Site Fitter – Mining

Location: Paget, QLD

Werner Engineering is seeking a qualified Site Fitter with proven mining experience to join our growing team.

This role involves a combination of on-site work at mine sites and workshop duties at our Paget facility, including assessing, assembling and disassembling mining equipment to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out site-based fitting work on mining equipment

• Assess, assemble and disassemble mining machinery and components

• Perform fault finding, repairs and maintenance

• Work safely and efficiently in accordance with site and WHS requirements

• Maintain high workmanship and quality standards

• Complete required documentation and job reporting

About You

• Trade qualified Fitter (essential)

• Extensive experience working on mining sites

• Strong mechanical knowledge of mining equipment

• Efficient, reliable and self-motivated

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong safety focus and understanding of site procedures

• Willingness to work both on site and in the Paget workshop

• Live in the Mackay area
