About the role

We are seeking a passionate and caring Support Worker to join our team at Flourish Support Specialists in Townsville. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalised support to our clients, helping them to live independently and with dignity.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping

• Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community outings

• Providing emotional support and companionship to help our clients feel safe, valued, and connected

• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of client interactions and service delivery

• Collaborating with the broader support team to ensure the continuity and quality of support for our clients

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for supporting and empowering people with disabilities.

• Minimum of 1+ years experience in disability support is required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients

• A caring, patient, and compassionate nature, with a commitment to promoting the independence and well-being of our clients

• Must have First Aid/CPR certificate, Driver's licence and own car with Comprehensive Insurance.

• Police check, Working with Children, and NDIS clearance are required before commencing employment.

• The ability to work flexible hours, including sleepovers, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
