Myndshift Group have been engaged by our client partner a well renowned Contract Miner to recruit a Commercial Superintendent for their large open-cut coal project in the northern end of the Bowen Basin.
About the Role:
Reporting to the PM/SS with a dotted line to the Commercial Manager, the Commercial Superintendent will be responsible for providing commercial and financial support to ensure effective contract management and cost control across a major mining project.
Key responsibilities include:Overseeing project cost control, forecasting, and reporting in line with company standardsSupporting project leadership with commercial analysis and risk managementAssisting with contract administration, variations, and claimsMonitoring budget performance and identifying areas for improvementEnsuring compliance with contractual and corporate governance requirementsProviding commercial insights to enhance project profitability and efficiency
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline (essential)Experience in commercial or project accounting roles within the mining sectorProficiency with SAP or similar enterprise software systems (highly desirable)Strong analytical and financial reporting skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilitiesThe ability to work autonomously and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced project environment
